Host a Supply Drive for Horizons Atlanta
Want to support Horizons Atlanta in a hands-on way? Hosting a supply drive is a meaningful opportunity to engage your community while ensuring scholars have the tools they need for a joyful, successful summer.
We invite individuals, companies, schools, and community groups to independently organize drives and collect high-need items to support our programs.
How It Works
1. Choose Your Drive Focus
- School supplies (notebooks, pencils, folders, crayons, markers)
- Literacy materials iin bulk
- Swim essentials (towels, swimsuits)
- Classroom and enrichment supplies (craft materials, STEM kits)
2. Set Your Timeline and Goal
Determine how long your drive will run and set a clear, achievable goal (e.g., “Collect 200 books” or “Assemble 50 supply kits”).
3. Rally Your Network
Promote your drive through email, social media, flyers, or within your workplace or community. Be sure to clearly communicate:
- What items are being collected
- Drop-off instructions for participants
- Your deadline
4. Collect and Sort Items
As items come in, we recommend sorting and packaging them by type to support distribution
5. Coordinate Drop-Off
Once your drive is complete, plan to deliver collected items to a Horizons Atlanta regional office or program site.

Our team will help direct your donation to where it is most needed.
